A Great Opportunity for Young People (Aged 16-30) Interested in Dance and Travel!
Call for interested dancers to form a nature dance team to represent Canada and perform in the International Dance Festival held in summer 2007 in Indonesia. All dance training and the accommodation in Indonesia will be freely provided. Participants only need to pay for their own air fare and have a strong interest in dance. Having previous dance experience is an asset, but not required.
The Goals of the Nature Dance Team:

2. To value life and diversity in nature.
3. To promote peace and harmony in the world.

The International Nature Loving Association (INLA) is a non-profit charity organization and has been established in Taiwan, HK, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan and Korea; the establishment of INLA in Canada is still under progress.
The mission of INLA is to spread the nature loving culture to everyone and implement value education through cultural activities. It is hoped that through the various cultural events, youth will be able to find meaningfulness in life and come to appreciate life more.
The International Youth Dance Festival is one of the programs to spread the message of loving nature. The purpose of it is to reach out and embrace other nature-loving youth around the world. Through the dance program, it is hoped that the youth are able to learn how to cooperate with other people with different backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures or religions, and together as a team, through the nature dance, spread the love and happiness to more people around the world.
For the time commitment, you would expect two practices per week, approximately 5 hours per week. However, close to the departure date, it is expected that more practices would be set up.
Event Dates:
Aug 7th Leave Vancouver
Aug 8th Arrive at Jakarta, Indonesia
Aug 9-10th Rehearsals
Aug 11-12th Performances
Aug 13th Sightseeing
Aug 14th Departure
If leaving Indonesia on Aug 14, you would arrive at Vancouver on the same date (Aug 14). Or, you may choose to stay and travel in Indonesia for a longer time if you wish.
